The ambiance takes me right back to India. I liked most of the dishes there. I am not keen on the starters but the curries were all great, especially the Sri Lankan ones. Paratha vs naan, paratha won for me. Service is nice but can feel a bit overbearing at times. They have to still find their feet in some ways, in terms of pricing, quantity, which makes sense since they have opened very recently. But a great addition to Maidstone.

Ordered a giant platter! Took a while to be made, but it was worth the wait. Came with noodles, rice, various curries and a dessert! Flavours were strong, but not overwhelming, very well balanced meal. The service was very polite and responsive. Nothing to complain about. Atmosphere is very different to what I'm used to, but it was fun and lively. If you're looking for a quiet dinner then perhaps find another place.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome and our server looked after us, answered all our questions and helped us with our menus choices. The food was amazing! So delicious and all the flavours tasted fresh & clean. Highly recommended! We will return again soon.

We were staying close by for the night and visited the Appamma Kitchen due to all the 5* reviews. It certainly lived up to its reputation. Service is top tier, the food is incredible and authentic, and the decor is stunning. It’s wonderful when you visit a restaurant and it is an experience rather than simply a meal. This is the type of restaurant we would always dress smartly for- unfortunately on our initial way there we got caught in heavy rain and had to change. I’d recommend smart casual dress code. Thank you to all the staff for this incredible visit. The Mukhwas was a lovely touch and we have since learnt how to serve it correctly! We look forward to coming back in the future.
